Welcome to Thank You Cards LLC ("ThankYou.Cards," "we," "our," or "us"). By using our website (www.thankyou.cards), web app, or any related services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our platform.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our site or services.

Important: These Terms include a binding arbitration clause and class action waiver in Section 18. Please read that section carefully, as it affects your legal rights.
Section 1

Overview

ThankYou.Cards lets you turn your handwriting into a digital font and use it to design, print, and send personalized physical cards.

ThankYou.Cards provides an online platform that allows users to design and send personalized cards using their handwriting (digitized or uploaded), curated fonts, and AI-assisted writing tools. We also offer printing, fulfillment, and delivery of those cards to your recipients. These Terms govern your access to and use of our website, app, and any features, tools, or content provided by ThankYou.Cards.

Section 2

Eligibility

In Short

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use our services. By creating an account or using our platform (including pre-account features such as the handwriting font creator), you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Section 3

Account Registration and Pre-Account Usage

You need an account for most features. Some features (like our free font creator) work before sign-up, but creating an account links that data to you.

You may need to create an account to access certain features of our platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@thankyou.cards if you suspect unauthorized access.

Certain features, including our handwriting font creator, are available before account creation. By using these pre-account features, you agree to our Privacy Policy regarding the collection and processing of your data. When you create an account, any data generated during pre-account usage (including handwriting samples and generated fonts) will be linked to your account.

Section 4

User Content and Ownership

In Short

You own your handwriting, your fonts, your messages, and everything you upload. We only use it to provide the service you asked for.

You retain ownership of all handwriting samples, fonts, messages, images, and other materials you upload or create through our platform ("User Content"). By submitting or creating User Content, you grant ThankYou.Cards a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and revocable license to:

  • Use, store, and process your content solely to provide and improve our services (including printing, handwriting digitization, font generation, and delivery)
  • Display and reproduce the content as necessary to fulfill your orders and render previews within the platform

We do not claim ownership of your handwriting, personal messages, or generated fonts. Your handwriting font remains your intellectual property at all times. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account, subject to the retention schedules described in our Privacy Policy.

Section 5

Handwriting Data

In Short

We treat your handwriting like biometric data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on how we protect it.

Your handwriting data is subject to the protections described in Section 3 (Handwriting Data and Your Privacy) of our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By uploading handwriting samples or using our font creation tools, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your handwriting data as described in the Privacy Policy.

You may request deletion of your handwriting data at any time by contacting info@thankyou.cards, and we will permanently destroy it within 30 days.

Section 6

AI-Generated Content

In Short

Our AI writing tools help draft messages. You review and approve everything before it is sent. We are not responsible for what AI writes.

Our platform may integrate third-party AI services to assist with message drafting, tone adjustment, or writing suggestions. When you use these features:

  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated text before sending.
  • ThankYou.Cards is not liable for the accuracy, appropriateness, or originality of AI-generated content.
  • AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright. You assume responsibility for any legal implications of using AI-generated text.

For details on how your data interacts with AI services, see Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

Section 7

Payments and Billing

In Short

All prices are in US dollars. You pay before we produce your cards. We use Stripe for payments and never see your full card number.

All pricing is listed in U.S. dollars (USD). You agree to pay all applicable fees when placing an order. Payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card information on our servers.

Pricing and fees may change at any time, but you will always see the total amount before confirming your purchase. Any promotional pricing or discounts are subject to the terms stated at the time of the promotion.

Section 8

Shipping and Fulfillment

In Short

US shipping is included in the price. We aim for 5-10 business day turnaround, then 3-5 days for delivery. International shipping is not yet available.

We take pride in our quality control and fulfillment process. Postage and domestic shipping within the United States are included in your base price unless otherwise stated at checkout. Our typical production turnaround is 5-10 business days from order approval, followed by 3-5 business days for delivery within the continental US.

Delivery times may vary depending on postal carrier performance, destination, weather, and seasonal volume. While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery, ThankYou.Cards cannot be held responsible for delays caused by USPS or other carriers.

International shipping is not currently available.

Section 9

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

In Short

If your cards do not meet your expectations, we will re-send them or give you a full refund. No hassle, no fine print tricks.

Our Promise

We stand behind the quality of every card we produce. If your order arrives and does not meet your expectations for any reason related to our production quality, we will make it right.

What Is Covered

  • Print quality issues (smudging, misalignment, ink problems)
  • Handwriting replication that does not match your font
  • Paper quality or card condition issues
  • Cards damaged during production or shipping
  • Any production error caused by ThankYou.Cards

How It Works

If you are not satisfied with your order, contact us within 14 days of delivery at info@thankyou.cards. Please include a photo of the issue and a brief description. We will, at your choice:

  • Re-send the affected cards at no additional cost, or
  • Issue a full refund for the affected cards

We aim to resolve all satisfaction claims within 5 business days of receiving your request.

What Is Not Covered

  • Content, message, or design errors that you submitted and approved before production
  • Delivery failures caused by incorrect or incomplete recipient addresses that you provided
  • Cards confirmed as delivered by the postal carrier where no claim is made within 14 days
  • Subjective preferences about minor handwriting variations that are inherent to the pen plotter process and do not affect legibility (small nuances in stroke weight or spacing are part of what makes each card authentic)

Order Changes and Cancellations

If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at info@thankyou.cards. We can modify or cancel your order before production begins. Once printing has started, we cannot cancel the order, but our satisfaction guarantee still applies to the finished product.

Section 10

Acceptable Use

In Short

Do not use our platform for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful. We can suspend accounts that violate these rules.

You agree not to use our services to:

  • Upload or distribute unlawful, threatening, harassing, or defamatory content
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of others
  • Send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or bulk mail that violates CAN-SPAM or similar laws
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or damage our systems, servers, or security
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our font generation technology or handwriting processing pipeline
  • Use our platform to send communications that constitute harassment, threats, or hate speech

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Section 11

Intellectual Property

Your content is yours. Our platform, code, branding, and technology are ours.

All platform code, design, branding, graphics, font generation technology, and other proprietary materials on our website or app are owned by Thank You Cards LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or use any part of our intellectual property without prior written consent.

For clarity: your handwriting font is your intellectual property. Our technology that creates and processes that font is ours.

Privacy and Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. It explains in detail how we handle your data, especially your handwriting.

Your privacy is extremely important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data, including handwriting data, are governed by our Privacy Policy (available at /privacy-policy), which forms an integral part of these Terms. By using our platform, you consent to such data collection and processing in accordance with that policy.

Section 13

Third-Party Services

In Short

We use outside services for payments, analytics, AI, and shipping. Their own terms may apply too.

We use third-party services including payment processors (Stripe), analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), AI services, and shipping carriers (USPS). Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms and policies of the third-party providers. We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by third-party systems, outages, or integrations.

Disclaimers

In Short

We do our best, but we provide the service as-is. Minor variations in handwriting replication are normal.

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance, reliability, availability, or suitability of our website or services for any particular purpose.

While we strive for the highest quality output, minor variations in handwriting replication, ink density, stroke weight, or paper texture are inherent to the pen plotter and printing process and are not considered defects. These small variations are part of what makes each card feel authentically handwritten.

Section 15

Limitation of Liability

In Short

Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thank You Cards LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
  • Delays or delivery failures caused by postal carriers or other circumstances beyond our control
  • Actions or content of third-party services integrated with our platform

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to ThankYou.Cards for the specific order giving rise to the claim, or $500, whichever is greater.

Section 16

Indemnification

In Short

If your misuse of our platform causes us legal trouble, you agree to cover our costs.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Thank You Cards LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your misuse of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) content you submit, including messages sent to recipients.

Section 17

Force Majeure

In Short

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control, like natural disasters, pandemics, or postal service disruptions.

ThankYou.Cards shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, postal service disruptions, carrier delays, power outages, internet outages, supplier failures, or acts of war or terrorism.

Section 18

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

We prefer to resolve issues informally first. If that does not work, disputes are resolved through binding arbitration, not court. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at info@thankyou.cards and provide a written description of the dispute, relevant documentation, and the resolution you are seeking. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Binding Arbitration

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and ThankYou.Cards agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of our services shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Monmouth County, New Jersey, or at a location mutually agreed upon. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against ThankYou.Cards. If for any reason a claim proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you and ThankYou.Cards each waive any right to a jury trial.

Exceptions

Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration and class action waiver provision by sending a written notice to info@thankyou.cards within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Your notice must include your name, email address, mailing address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. If you opt out, all other provisions of these Terms remain in effect.

Section 19

Governing Law

In Short

New Jersey law applies to these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. For any disputes not subject to arbitration, the exclusive venue shall be the state or federal courts located within Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Section 20

Termination

In Short

We can suspend or close your account if you break the rules. You can close your account anytime. Some provisions survive termination.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse our services, or engage in behavior that harms other users or our business operations. We will provide notice before termination when reasonably practicable, except in cases of severe violations requiring immediate action.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting info@thankyou.cards. Upon termination (whether by you or by us), your right to use our services immediately ceases. Sections regarding ownership, liability, indemnification, arbitration, and intellectual property survive termination.

Section 21

Severability

In Short

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Section 22

Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between you and us.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order-specific terms presented at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and ThankYou.Cards regarding the use of our services. They supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or communications, whether written or oral.

Section 23

Changes to These Terms

In Short

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will email you 30 days in advance.

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post the updated version on our website with a new Last Updated date. For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

Shipping and Delivery Policy

Processing Time

In Short

Your order takes 5-10 business days to produce, then ships.

Every order is reviewed and produced individually. Our typical turnaround time is 5-10 business days from the moment your order is approved. This includes handwriting digitization (if applicable), printing, quality control, and preparation for mailing. You will receive an email notification once your order is complete and shipped.

Shipping and Postage

In Short

Domestic US shipping is included in the card price. International shipping is not yet available.

  • Postage and domestic U.S. shipping are included in your base card price.
  • We partner with USPS and other trusted carriers to ensure reliable delivery.
  • Tracking information is provided for applicable shipments.
  • International shipping is not currently available. When launched, international orders will include additional postage and may take longer to arrive.

Delivery Estimates

3-5 business days in the continental US after shipping. Longer for Alaska, Hawaii, and territories.

  • 3-5 business days within the continental U.S.
  • 10-15 business days for Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.

Delivery times may vary due to weather, carrier delays, or seasonal volume.

Address Accuracy

In Short

Double-check your addresses. We cannot refund orders lost due to wrong addresses.

Please double-check all recipient addresses before checkout. We cannot guarantee delivery or offer refunds for shipments delayed or lost due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. If you notice an address error after placing your order, contact us immediately at info@thankyou.cards and we will do our best to update it before printing or mailing begins.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

If something goes wrong in transit, let us know within 14 days and we will fix it.

If your order appears lost, significantly delayed, or arrives damaged, please contact us at info@thankyou.cards within 14 days of expected delivery. We will investigate with the carrier and, when appropriate, replace affected items at no cost under our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee (see Section 9).
